About Nortek

Nortek Electronics is located in North Vancouver, B.C. Canada.  It was incorporated in 1973 to provide products and service to the local shipbuilding industry.  Today, this is still the main focus of the Company.

There has been a considerable change in electronics technology since Nortek was founded and it has grown in capability along with the industry.  Today, a large percentage of our products and custom designs is based on the latest microprocessor technology.  This includes not only the product design but also the software and documentation that is required.

Nortek Electronics designs and manufactures a wide variety of products for marine and industrial applications.  These include both custom units as well as "off the shelf" products.

One of our main product lines are marine machinery alarm sytems.  These vary all the way from a small 4 point alarm board up to complete systems including graphics displays, and multiple collectors operating on a CAN bus.

Other principle products include Marine Intercom systems, Navigation Lamp monitors and both engine and shaft tachometers.

Many of our products are designed as building blocks for complete systems allowing the customer to construct their own equipment using our boards.  Some examples of these are our four and eight point alarm boards as well as our eight point navigation lamp monitor board.

Nortek also has a number of small boards that are used in auxiliary applications.  Some examples of this are our voltage monitor board and switching voltage reducers.

Nortek also designs and builds custom systems including microprocessor based products.  This includes both the hardware and the software design, prototype production and documentation.

To date, Nortek Electronics has designed hundreds of products covering numerous applications.
